Kingwood Area Quilt Guild
The Kingwood Area Quilt Guild is a non-profit corporation dedicated to preserving the rich heritage and art of quilting. Bringing together people of all ages who love quilts, expanding and enhancing the knowledge and skills of our members, and various educational programs throughout the community we live in, encourages, sustains and promotes quilting as art, for future generations.
Guild members have participated in the Kingwood Art Show, Humble Fair, Montgomery County Fair, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Jesse Jones Park Pioneer and Heritage Days and the Houston International Quilt Festival. Guild-sponsored activities include biennial eventssuchasour QuiltShow andfund-raising Auctions Show, workshops given by nationally known speakers, and a biennial fund-raising Auction. Our Members have made donation quilts for children, veterans, and families in need.
Guild members teach about quilting and it's history in local nursing homes, area schools, and local quilt shops. Members are encouraged to participate in small groups or Bees, which each plan their own activities and projects and allow the opportunity to be with other creative people.
We welcome you to explore our guild through our meetings, events and website! Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon.
